THE IMPERFECT TREE

I was standing behind the cage overlooking the forest, and was witnessing the beauty that was painted in front of my eyes by mother nature. The setting sun had already painted the sky orange, the cool wind that could have even soothed the soul of a tyrant was blowing rhythmically, the leaves and the birds, unlike me, did not sigh away from expressing their emotions and were singing exuberantly. Amidst all this my hands subconsciously went on to my phone and in the very next moment, I was busy getting the right shot to capture the moment. After a couple of clicks, my mind started to irk and so I just decided to let go and be mindful about how everything was really unfolding in front of me. Soon enough, I found my eyes getting stuck to this tree which was swirling in all its glory, just like a child who starts to laugh or dance merrily when greeted with warmth. I decided to stay with the tree, and soon realised that this particular tree was neither too dense nor did it bore any fruit unlike its neighbour, but that did not steal away its right to enjoy the amazing show that was put up in front of him. The tree was in total contentment with itself, by embracing his own imperfections and limitations and at the same time reciprocating with infinite joy to anyone who was willing to pass on a little smile. His charm was contagious and soon enough I found the trees around also joining him, even though with a mild hesitation.

Finally, when I was about to leave, I found this small hole in the cage that allowed me to capture the imperfect tree within a perfect frame!!
